PATIENT FAQ

What can I expect as a Medworks patient?
Medworks removes all of the things that make healthcare feel complicated. On the day of the Medworks clinic we provide free, unconditional care for the people who need it most. If you need care, all you have to do is show up.

In addition to providing immediate care, patients at Medworks’ clinics receive comprehensive navigation services to connect them with resources and referrals. Medworks facilitates connections for patients to appropriate social services, medical home and insurance options by ensuring that clinic patients have access to on-site medical insurance navigators, social workers and patient schedulers.

Who are the physicians providing care at a Medworks clinic?
Medworks clinics are possible thanks to the many medical and support volunteers including physicians, dentists, and nurses who volunteer their time and provide care, free of charge, to those in need. All medical volunteers are licensed and accredited physicians in the Cleveland area. They are affiliated with Cleveland’s top medical facilities, including Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals, MetroHealth, and St. Vincent’s Charity Hospital, as well as other private practices.

How many clinics does Medworks hold per year?
Each year Medworks holds between eight and ten clinics throughout Northeast Ohio. For a list of upcoming clinics, click here.

Do I need insurance to attend a Medworks clinic?
No, all services provided at Medworks clinics are free of charge. If you need care, all you have to do is show up!

Who do I talk to if I’m interested in enrolling for insurance, have questions about my benefits, am looking for a doctor, or need other assistance with wrap-around services?
